Tuesday Kicked off with 10 -12 knots so I had a bit of fun. Kim, who took these photos joined the morning session with his nice new blue 18m X3 and a Mutant. The afternoon suffered with winds of 8-10knots. But the outgoing current in the river mouth was great for some action. The current opposes the wind and gives you an apparent wind of about 12 knots. Earl arrived late afternoon with the new 16m Boxer kite from Naish and a Mutant board, I grabbed my 7'0 directional and we tacked away about 1km from the beach into wind. Really cool feeling being powered up in such lite wind leaving the rest of the crew wallowing in the shore break and doing the walk of shame. A great day on the water, even if the wind was just a bit too soft.
