Having just recieved my new Rhino 4's ,I was keen to get out and try them. The great day arrived, last Friday.Twenty knots ,perfect 14m weather .I went out and was impressed with the upwind ability and great jumping but after about 2 hours I noticed that the kite was fluttering on one side.So I landed the kite to investigate ,only to find one of the battens was missing. My immediate thought was ,that I must have somehow missed it all along. So contacted my supplier, who said he would contact the importer on the Monday. On the Saturday It was perfect weather again ,so I decided to inflate the kite to see if I could use it with only one batten again.Only to find ,that in the time it took to put my wetsuit on ,the other batten had ripped through the other trailing edge restraining strap.Result , no sailing and very pissed off .
I have got a 10m and a 20m on order and I am wandering if this is just a one off or is it a problem with all Rhino 4's.
Sorry for being so negative , but after sailing with Rhino 2's all last year with absolutely no quality issues,I was very dissapointed ,as one of the main reasons for buying north is because of the "no worries quality"
