Je ziet steeds meer vrouwen kitesurfen. Ik denk dat het er over een paar jaar meer zijn dan mannen! En das natuurlijk ook logisch; ze zijn lichter, leniger en kitesurfen heeft niet de kracht nodig van bijvoorbeeld windsurfen 
Het wordt net als met kunstschaatsen....alleen in de ultieme powermoves; de drie dubbele heidberger met kunstschaatsen en de dubbele HP met kitesurfen moeten ze het afleggen maar verder zijn wij natuurlijk veel te lomp en stijf en zullen slechts enkele de soepele stijl van een kitechick kunnen benaderen :(

requires finesse…something women have a lot of. Finesse is important because like I said, muscling the heck out of the kite doesn’t work. It’s better to work with the wind and the conditions and “feel†the increases and decreases in wind strength and to work with them. Since wind is not constant in its strength, there will be many times while harnessed to the same size kite, you will have to be able to either hang on through a strong gust, or be very efficient through the lulls.
