Slider competition, 4th Place... 2-5-2006, Coche, Venezuela
So after the freestyle competition, we had a pretty cool sliderpark comp. Two sliders and one kicker. I was sitting on the beach for too long and got insane of watching people ride. I decided to take part in the slider comp. My ankle didn’t hurt too much with that…First the trials were 24 guys were in, and after that the mainevent were 16 riders got to compete... My first heat was pretty cool, I hitted the slider made a little gap and landed back onto it with a backside slide…and did a flat 3 of the kicker!
After like 2 more heats I made it all the way to the final, which was pretty surprising for me…I thought I sucked at the sliders (maybe I do but whatever hahaha) I was in the final against Janek Korycki from Poland, Billy Parker from the U.S.A and Peter from Russia…was a fun heat, the guys were doing sliding 3sixties over the slider, and my second hit on the slider was full speed but out of control and I hit my ass full on the slider which hurted me a lot…After all I lost the final and got 4th, still pretty stoked but busted my ass for no money…gheghe!
Ow yeah and of course Aaron was killing it, also Lou Wainman was there and he made a funny run on his 60 cm board… Lou Wainman dus toch in actie!
