As you all know, Death Toll from Sunday Dec. 26th Quake/Tsuname is now over 60,000 and is expected to double after the effects of disease have set in. This is an epic tragedy that has turned one kiteboarding heaven into "hell on earth" as one witness describes. In fact, it has even affected kiteboarders (and non-kiteboarders) alike including a manufacturer of Caution Kites in Sri Lanka called Ezzy Factory. The factory workers there have lost everything and are in desperate need of aid as well as the many people of all the SE Asian countries affected by the quake.
Supplies are inexpensive over there, so a little money goes a long way. Experts warned that disease could kill as many people as the 63,000 already dead from the violent crush of Sunday’s tsunamis. Medicine, Food, Water and Clothing is desperately needed to prevent further deaths from this tragedy.
If everyone could do just a little.. there's a lot of people in the world, and it adds up. If you can, please help. Even if it's only $1, it helps.

I'm the importer of Caution Kites in Switzerland. Caution Kites are built at Ezzy Sails Sri Lanka. I just got a note from the guys from Ezzy sails who are building the CAUTION KITES. None of their employees have died, but several have lost everything they had. They really just have what they were wearing at the moment. I don't know if the Factory is damaged as well. I will start a donation collection where we pay than all the money to the Ezzy Sails employees who have lost their houses and everything they had. I made a page on my online-shop where you can make donations. It works like an on-line buy of a product. After "purchasing" a donation, you will get an e-mail with bank instructions. http://tux.ch/phpeppershop_src/index.php - click Spende/Donation Sri Lanka Payments can be made by www.paypal.com as well. Send it to: [email protected] I guarantee that every single penny is going directly to the employees of Ezzy Factory in Sri Lanka. I will set up a list of everybody who donated, which will be sent together to Ezzy Sails in Sri Lanka. I will post the list [on kiteforum] as well, so everybody can check their donations.-Sol |
