Snowkiting round up in the Midwest!
Montana, USA - February 23, 2007
The 2007 Montana Snowkite Rodeo went off without a hitch! Snow coverage and wind conditions could not have been better for the four day event which was held at Gorge Town Lake and Mt. Haggin. Having such great conditions really brought out the kiters and spectators in full force. On any given day anywhere between 30-60 kites were flying high.
Friday and Saturday saw most of the crew flying at Gorge Town Lake. The local Montana crew set up a kitercross course and a series of "we only go big in Montana" style kickers and rails for the freestyle junkies.
During the weekend Slingshot was in full affect demo-ing out one of the first Turbo 2’s to ever hit snow along with Rangers, Fuels and Links. The opportunity was a success for all the people that had a chance to get a demo in there hands.
After all the comps were finished everyone headed up to Mt. Haggin to hit up some killer terrain and free ride till the sun went down.
The rodeo was epic. Much thanks to Joel, Mitch, Tony, Chana and everybody else that helped us all have a great time.
