Following the Velocity Games held at corpus Christi, Texas, from the 21st to 26th May, we should allow our American colleagues to congratulate themselves on a world first, the first international level competition where all the riders wore helmets!!!

The rules were clear to everyone, "any competitor failing to wear a helmet would be disqualified!". Boom!!! Stranger still, a field including Vari, Solbach, Herraiz, Gilbert, Abreu etc. approved the decision. All the same, between heats and during the warm ups they took them off again…
Still, a worthy first!!!
