From the 10th to the 19th of July, the top competitors will return to the Mecca of kitesurfing to pursue their race for the world title.
The Andalusian city is located on the Southern tip of Spain, alongside the Strait of Gibraltar in between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean sea. As expected, forecast looks promising, announcing a great windy week of Levante - one of the main winds of this renowned venue.
The competition will involve 24 male and 12 female riders in freestyle as well as in big airdiscipline. There will be qualifiers for the big air. As for freestyle top seeds will confront Tarifa’s challenging conditions together with two local freestyle males - Noè Font Castells and Maximilian Gomez - and a local freestyle female - Rita Arnaus - who have been allocated wildcards by the event organizer.
Oswald Smith (ZA) will also join the contest as he will replace French rider Julien Leleuwho suffered a knee injury and will be out for the season.
