Van 26 oktober to 23 november is de wereldwijde speedsailing top tezamen in een klein dorpje genaamd Walvis Bay te Namibië.
Daar proberen ze de snelheidrecords op het gebied van kitesurfen en windsurfen te verbreken. Het is aan de 20 riders van over de gehele wereld om de illustere 50 knots (+- 90 km) te halen.

"The new record attempt spot is located in the salinas of Walvis Bay, a hard to access and strictly secured area. But the angle of app. 130 degree and the shallow water gives a perfect arena for the competitors to head for new records.
The natural spot on the Walvis Bay Sandbar is also prepared for chasing new nautical mile records, and we will chose the best spot every day to get the maximum out of the conditions.
