General Info:
The location and the Village
Mauritius, officially the Republic of Mauritius, is an island nation off the coast of the African continent in the southwest Indian Ocean, about 900 kilometres (560 mi) east of Madagascar. In addition to the island of Mauritius, the Republic includes the islands of Cargados Carajos, Rodrigues and the Agalega Islands. Mauritius is part of the Mascarene Islands, with the French island of Réunion 200 km (120 mi) to the southwest and the island of Rodrigues 570 km (350 mi) to the northeast.
Le Morne Brabant is a peninsula at the extreme south-western tip of Mauritius and the most windward side on this island. It is highlighted by an eponymous single standing basaltic rock with a summit of 556 metres above sea level which belongs to the most imposing sights on Mauritius. The summit covers an area of more than 12 hectares. There are many overhang caves at the steep slopes. It is surrounded by a lagoon and is a famous tourist attraction.
The seasons and Hotel info
There are not a lot of cheap accommodation at Le Morne but a couple of 5 star places right on the best kite/windsurf beach.
Possibilities besides kiting
Besides kiting you can:

Climate
The local climate is tropical, modified by southeast trade winds; there is a warm, dry winter from May to November and a hot, wet, and humid summer from November to May. Anti-cyclones affect the country during May to September. Cyclones affect the country during November-April. Both sea and air have nice temperatures year round with an average temperature between 22°C and 28°C.
Spot conditions:
The beach
The beach is made of soft white sand. Good for launching kites. In the weekend the spot can be bussy because approxomately 30 kiters come to enjoy their spot. Locals therefore ask visitors to plan their sightseeing and shopping trips in these days to avoid any unnecessary congestion and frictions.
The water conditions
A wide lagoon with clear, shallow water, and a very flat, easily navigatable area inside the reef: good for beginners and for freestylers wanting to improve. Always be extra careful in lagoons when approaching channels and passes (some sharks here), the current will surprise you very often and you will get sucked out to sea before you know it. So watch out for the strong currents, sea urchins and the sharp reef.
The wind conditions
The wind is a steady alizee (trade wind) from 15 to 25 knots. It blows from the South East and is sideshore. On average it blows 5 out of 7 days at 4 beaufort and above.
Facilities
There is a school with showers, toilets, gear rental, food etc. There are no rescue boats on the spot.
Downwinder and trip possibilites
Beyond the lagoon, two wave spots beckon: "Manawa" and "One-Eye", with the latter being suitable for experts only.
Kite Trip organizes unforgetable kite downwinds in the most beautiful lagoons of Mauritius Island and takes care of everything to give you the maximum of fun. Check out: http://kite-trip.com/index.php?lang=en
