Hello Rugstis.
5/3 should be fine in April. Not sure if you still need boots and gloves by then; probably not but still smart to take them along.
You can dig yourself through this list and watch for the small lollypop icon (for rookies :) -->

For beginners near Amsterdam I would go for: IJmuiden, Wijk aan Zee with Z till N winds.
For the IJselmeer others should fill me in
RobbyNitroz had een 5 sterren sessie in Zandvoort met maar liefst 15 - 20 knots op zijn SlingShot Wave SST (2017)
A lot of spots. There is a Kitespots button right at the top of this forum... check it!
Hi Rugstis, its great that you want to kitesurf our little frog land (kikkerlandje), weve got some good spots here :)
Like Robby said IJmuiden and Wijk aan zee are good spots to kitesurf near Amsterdam. I would suggest Wijk aan Zee also but on the north side of the pier. I used to kitesurf there, its got small waves and the slope is gradual so you can easily stand on most places. Its also less crowded on a bussy day compared to other spots along the coast.. :)
Coringa had een 5 sterren sessie in Katwijk airtime met maar liefst 18 - 28 knots op zijn Switch kiteboarding Element (2014)

Hi guys,
my name is Justas, and I'm new to this forum. I am planning to come to Netherlands next month to visit my friend and I think of trying to kitesurf here for a few days. I have visited Amsterdam one year before, and saw people kiteboard on the January 1st (in Schellinkhout) :) Could you please answer few questions?
How cold it is gonna be in the end of April? Is 5/3mm wetsuit enough?
Where can I find begginer friendly spots? I only know one spot near Harderwijk, Schellinkhout and I saw that the wind is a little bit stronger in De Koog/Texel (never been there). How is the coast in that island?
thanks in advance for your answers and wish you strong wind!
