Not content with banning snowkite in the entire Parc des Ecrins (France) in a completely arbitrary way and without any kind of consultation with local riders etc., the Chargee de Mission Reserves Naturelles - a local council type body - (we shall respect her right to not be named as Mrs Helene Quellier) is currently on a charm offensive with a number of neighbouring regions to encourage them to pass local legislation banning the practice of snowkite in their areas too.
If noone does anything to stop her it could mean probably the best snowkite spot in France, maybe even Europe, being off limits for snowkiters !
The local riders and many other regular site users are therefore inviting anyone and everyone to join their campaign, by email or fax direct to the Office de Tourisme at Serre Chevalier using the heading : Non a l’interdiction du snowkite au Lautaret ! (no to the banning of snowkite at Lautaret !)
