Big surprise for viewers of the Ushuaia exploration programme on French tv the other night, when during an outside broadcast there was a background shot of a micro-lite taking off, not your classic micro-lite delta wing though, this was a ram air wing with a rock solid stable profile like a parapente or…a kitesurf wing !!!
The Woopy, as it is known, is another brainwave of Swiss designer Laurent Kalbermatten.
