Tijdens het Mondial du Vent evenement in Leucate wordt voor de eerste keer een officieel speedwedstrijd gehouden,om het eerste record neer te zetten.

We’ve just heard that during the Mondial du Vent event that’s going off on the 18th - 24th April in Leucate, south of France, as a peripheral event to the International Air Challenge there will be an official round of kitesurf speed record !!! After Manu Bertin’s pioneering efforts in 2000 during the Windusrf Speed World Cup, also at Leucate, this is the first time there’s been an official kitesurf speed discipline at a major event… Apparently the World Speed Sailing Record Council (WSSRC) will be on site to validate any attempts and ensure that the competitors times are accurately recorded !!!
