Corona Extra Winter Tour - Geilo/Saturday - Day 6

Final triumph…

A new day…
The riders and the organizers of the Corona Extra Winter Tour meet this morning at 10 am at the Lille Bla bar, for the last skippers meeting of the event and of the whole 2003 Tour. The next meeting is fixed at noon on the contests area situated on the top of the Geilos resort. When the crew arrives there, the situation is not the one they imagined: the snow is really hard and the wind is violent... Theres absolutly no way to run any contest at this place! The race director Damien Richard asks to all the riders to go down at the Lille Bla to discuss about the situation.
Finally the organizers decide to move the contest to Ortern, which is the great spot where we were last tuesday. The bus comes to pick up the riders at the bar at 1.30pm and the rounds are ready to be run at 3.30pm.
The wind blows up between 20 and 30 knots and the women are the first to try the area, as the sun shines... A new girl is competing today, shes a local skier called Kari Anne. After the seven racing minutes, Agnès Fontenay wins followed by Anna Levins (who rode really fast!), Estelle Lambelet and Kari Anne.
