News literally just in is that snowkite rider Pascal Joubert, who was the talking point of the first round of the Corona Extra Winter Tour with his astonishingly huge jumps, has had quite a serious accident at the Col du Lautaret in the French Alps last Sunday, 13th April, at the end of the afternoon...
Riding with Roby, one of the Ozone wing designers, during a jump his chicken loop went causing Pascal to fall some distance onto some rocks, sadly there are lots this season because little snow has fallen ! Unconscious, Pascal was quickly whipped off to hospital by Roby.
He’s much better now, if a broken shoulder blade, 2 broken heels and a broken wrist, multiple cuts abrasions and contusions, specially round his face, counts as better….
