From the 8th - 11th May, the beautiful Ile d’Oleron (near La Rochelle on the French west coast) played host to Robby Naish in person for a huge festival of surf, windsurf and, of course, kitesurf!!!
Numerous top personalities from all 3 worlds were on site, notably Robert Teritehau, surfer Martin Potter, but also the entire Naish Kiteboarding team including Mark Shinn, Abel Lago Martinez, Chris Gilbert, Manu Bertin, Cedric le Bourgocq, Cyril Coste and a host of others… 3 day of wind out of 4 with average winds around 10 - 15 knots. Ideal for a great kitesurf show.
We will remember the amazing skills of Abel Lago, an in-form 40 years old Robby’s kite loops, the Shinn/Gilbert kite longboard sessions (they spent almost the whole 4 days on the water) and finally the Robert Teritehau show, the supreme waterman showing his mastery of the kite format too !!!
