On May 24th/25th the Silke Gorldt Foundation had its first German Kids-Camp at Born (East Sea - Germany).
25 participants between 10 and 18 years old came to the Camping-Regenbogen-Resort Born. Theory, safety and know-how of different materials were the main subjects at this free training. Different groups with various know-how of kiting had many fun on the water. One teacher took care of two kids. Many personalities of the German kite scene came to keep Silke's spirit alive in this way.
In the evening the kids talked about their lessons at our big barbecue. The resonance of the kids and her parents (less than 16 years must be accompanied) was so grateful, that the next camp will definitely come. This was our contribution to safety. To train the next generation of kiters in safety and to lead them to responsible doing will be one of our main objects in the future. All help is welcome!"
