Following on from our news item about the Naish UDS (Universal De-power System), Yann N’Guyen who distributes Naish in France wanted to clarify a few points…
“A few clarifications about UDS following some of the web dialogue there’s been…
UDS is not an extension of the brake lines. It gives you :
- More freedom of movement (bar not locked at the centre)
- The possibility to sail with either a short brake line (big jumps, full power, no hands) or with long brake lines (200% de-power, waveriding, etc.)
Plus, UDS means you can sail with a (kite) leash without any restriction or risk of fouling your lines, so now there’s no more need to take your leash off.
Last but not least: after you let go of the kite your leash, attached to the front lines, makes it easy to recover the control bar and get up again…
Here are two links you can give readers of Flysurf.com to give them a better idea about the 2 new Naish safety systems.
The Naish international distributors’ meeting in Hawaii in mid July will give us a chance to find out more very soon !!!â€
