Sun, music and “farniente†for this second day of the Jim Beam Kiteboard World Cup 2003 in Turkey,on Burc beach!
Everybody was rather optimistic…
"When we arrived on the spot, we all stared at the white caps on the water.
Everybody was rather optimistic and we all thought that the wind would pick up fast. The riders got their equipment ready as soon as possible. A couple of riders went in the water straight away such as Sylvain Hoceini (FRA), Charles Deleau (FRA) and Ofri Argov (ISR). Unfortunately we never reached the 11 knots necessary for freestyle.
The wind kept decreasing and turning. Despite all the efforts of the Race Direction which moved the buoys every hour, even a speed crossing was not feasible."
