Hawaii Kiteboarding Association (HKA) Maui has taken big strides to promote safety in the sport and get involved in the local community. Community involvement has become a focal point with our group through educating the public, developing programs for youth and participating in island-wide beach and park cleanups. As a result of these activities and the special wind conditions we have on the north shore, the sport has grown here at an accelerated rate, to the point that many businesses on Maui have become quite reliant upon this new activity.
