Another new event on the kitesurf calendar, the Jinx Jam is organised by British power kite guru Andy Preston (S2 Kiteboarding) and Belgian power kite distributor Peter van den Busch (Mellow distribution) and will be going off in Senegal from 21st - 28th January 2004. Jinx Jam is a jam for sure, but there's an innovative competition format that will see competitors judging each other during the week long event but not allowed to vote for themselves. Apart from the 'prize' of a free week in Senegal, the riders will be fighting out for a winner's prize of around 2000 Euros. Those confirmed include Brits Mark Shinn, Chris Bull and Mike Smith, Frenchie Richard Boudia, Preston and Van Den Busch with Wales' finest, Kirsty Jones the only woman rider so far.
