Weymouth(UK) Speed Week verslag "This was less of a pure performance week with a much more ‘difficult’ spot, disturbed water, wind direction – at least for the first few days – I’d describe as ‘not that good’ in the interests of politeness, and a slightly anarchic system for making runs whereby anyone who’s on the water can make a run, all at the same time if they like. I might also mention the people upwinding across your run, plus all the others who had nothing at all to do with the event! A few scares for us kiters if you know the kind of control we have at high speeds… Nevertheless, what was important was to enter into the spirit, not so much of breaking records, but of passionate people meeting up, sportsmen, inventors, professionals, the simply curious, to live a week of speed together in as convivial a way as possible, sharing friendships and experiences.
