"This release, which has been developed by Michel Bousquet (designer of the new Kite control System), can be used with all systems and makes of control bar on the market today. Derived from a load-bearing swivel, the new quick release allows kitesurfers to finally let fully rip with their freestyle moves and jumps. It’s been developed specifically to conform to AFNOR (French Standards Authority) specifications, this release works by means of ‘reflex’ action, the only way possible to gain those vital 10ths of seconds that can make the difference between life and death in a critical situation, where the instant neutralisation of the kite’s pull is imperative.
