"For few days now, at Remi's 'Sossego Kite/Surf Camp', we have a nice diversity of spots, with flat water as well as waves and different wind directions. Cool conditions to start, about 12/15kts perfect to test the new Takoon Mamoot 20mÂ² 2004, than 20kts+ with little waves...
Stronger wind came up few days ago (rare at this period), enough to try the Araruama Laguna near Cabo Frio, kitespeeding!

The speed based is not settled yet, so no 500m run marked, & no chrono for average speed. Trainning on runs about 300m, on perfectly flat water, wind average around 25kts but gust at 34.
Nice enough to work on ties with a 12mÂ² Takoon Wook2 / Speed proto Radical kiteboards / Fin Microfin speed proto / to see appearing on GPS screen a Maximum speed at 45.9 kts! Stoke!

Confirmation that the spot deserves an event & confirmation of kite potential for speed, good sign for coming season where the goal to reach 40 kts and + in an official competition seems to become more and more a reasonable. To be continued...

Waiting for it we go back in the Brazilian mood, just perfect to recover from a rush!!!

toch lijkt het me wel eens leuk om te doen,maar dan wel met een lasergun zodat je direkt weet hoe hard je ging,en dan je grenzen verkennen,hoe hard je kan of durft :9

Mario had een 3 sterren sessie in Cadzand-Bad met maar liefst 18 - 24 knots op zijn SlingShot RPM (2010)
