We never doubted it for a minute, after the excellent performances by windsurfers in December and more recently kitesurfers at the Mondial du Vent in mid April, now the sailing world is gearing up to grab the sail-powered water speed limelight back in the form of a British boat, SailRocket, who’s stated aim is to break the 50 knot barrier!!!
The SailRocket project was launched in Southampton, England, on April 23rd with lots of fanfare and expectation. However, final water testing has still to be completed before the official trials begin… Windsurfers and kitesurfers can only watch and wait!
