Kitesurfingâ€™s Youngest & Best

The A$25,000 kitesurfing event at Perthâ€™s Mosman Beach concluded with spectacular results late yesterday, where whirly birds, kite loops and handle pass moves (mobe, front mobe, KGB and slim chance) impressed the judges.

Netherlands teenage superstar Ruben Lenten, at just 16 years of age, surged well ahead of competitors to claim the championship title and A$10,000 winnerâ€™s prize. Runners-up were Melbourneâ€™s Daniel Walstab (2^nd place); world number one UK champion Aaron Hadlow, also just 16 years old (3^rd place); and Perthâ€™s own Adam Ratajewski, an 18 year-old chiropractic student (4^th place).
