Alcatel Kitesurf Pro 2004 – Press Kit 2
For the 4th consecutive year, New Caledonia will host the Alcatel Kitesurf Pro,
from the 1st to the 7th of november, final of the 2004 KPWT.
A race during which the top pro kiteboarders will offer the public a great show
on the Meridien beach.
New Caledonia is well-known around the world as a paradise for extreme water sports, and
for the past few years kiteboard in particular. The Alcatel Kitesurf Pro is in the line of the
other events that built the reputation of New Caledonia in this field of action (Nouméa cup,
Alizés Trophy, Mondial AOM,…). The largest lagoon of the world gathers the best conditions
for a free but safe practice of kiteboard. The stretch of water of the Meridien beach which is
set up like a real water stadium is one of the best of the kind since it enables the public to
watch the competitors performances from a very close point of view.
