Weather Synopsis : Deep low pressure to the east, high pressure to the north. Both locked into position, providing the Cape Hatteras coast with consistent Northerly winds in the 15-35mph range. The offshore low grows into a hurricane force storm with 75mph plus winds and 30-40 foot seas. These seas travel landward and hit the Cape Hatteras coast with full force.
