The new boards again utilize a refined ‘FLX’ construction with sublimated graphics in a durable PBT top sheet, hand shaped ABS rails and high density linear PVC foam core.

The Firebird is now also available in this ‘FLX’ construction.

Due to popular demand we have added a couple of additional sizes to the FLX range. The width of the FLX 132 has increased to 39cm and the new FLX 128 is 38cm wide. The FLX 152 at 42cm wide is designed for those in predominantly light wind areas.

All FLX boards now feature a single concave bottom shape with flat sections at the rails and tips. The advantage of a concave bottom is that the effective rocker line is straightened which provides greater tracking stability, power and speed. A disadvantage can be a stiffer board and a bumpier ride. To combat this we have tailored the thickness flow and flex patterns to comfortably provide the best of both worlds without having to compromise our wide powerful outline curve that provides “pop” and upwind performance. Unidirectional Carbon laminates provide the optimal balance between strength, weight, flex and twist control.

We continue to hand finish our rail shapes with a thicker more tucked rail in the mid section of the board to help soften the ride through chop. Rails at the tips feature a thinner, harder edge to provide tracking stability and a solid edge hold through carves.

Boards are supplied standard with:

 -         EVA covered grab handle

 -         G10 fins

 -         stainless steel hardware

 -         adhesive EVA grab bar

The FLX boards have an asymmetric adjustable footstrap and the Firebirds have a symmetrical design adjustable footstrap.

The contoured footpads now have a more comprehensive outline shape and higher density foam provides better traction than our original contoured pads. By design, the contoured footpads are supplied unfitted so the rider can determine their preferred stance option and fit the pads accordingly.
