3) I have been waiting so long to read a review of the jumping characteristics of this kite. Since I saw the first pics of this thing I have been salivating at the thought of the air time that could be achieved with such a high AR. So far all the reviews written have been underwhelming at best... light wind, too gusty, on land ect ect... Well here it is boys - It jumps!! I estimate the pop to be somewhere between the p2 10 and 13m and the hangtime to rival or better that of the p2 13m. Although this kite is being marketed as a race kite (???????) I think it has tremendous freestyle potential. For you guys who like cruising hard and fast and boosting huge floaty airs this may be your weapon. I was jumping the kite in around 15 knots gusting mabey as high as 20 and it felt like it was just coming into its wind range - no strap pulled yet and the bar being pulled all the way out to the gust absorber, very direct steering response (if you know FS you know the feeling). The trick to jumping this kite is to keep your speed way high and send the kite right over the top of the window, the lift is satisfyingly brutal and the hang time is really just phenomenal for a 10m.

4) The drawbacks. I think because of the oddball shape this kite will lack the ease of relaunchability that the lower aspect FS"s have. Unless you are careful to maintain the shape of the kite while on the ground the kite will tie itself into a neat little knot. I was riding on snow and tangled the kite a few times when it was on the ground. To be fair it is a prototype and has got a mess of extra string and knoted bridle lines hanging off of it. It probably won"t make a good wakestyles/kiteloop kite because of its tendency to fly quickly through the window when edged aggressivly.

Conclusion - really super fun kite with tremendous freestyle potentail. I could see myelf riding this as an everyday kind of kite. I thought it was going to be a kite with a very narrow range of use but definitely not so. Looking forwards to trying the production model.
