The first PKRA event of the 2005 season was held in 80-degree weather with steady 20-knot winds at Coche Island, Venezuela. Today’s competition was a Distance Race from Margarita to Coche Island.
Bjumberger, the official winner, but failed to ride in between the two (2) finish buoys earning Herraiz a DNF. Making Bjumberger the official winner, while Steph De Jong took second and Leonardo Estredo third place.
Coming in in 6th place over all and winning the womens division of the Distance Race Gabrelle Steindl. Second place Kristin Bose and third Daphnee Laliberte.
After the distance race riders practiced their moves on the freestyle course and the slider park. Trials start tomorrow at 11:AM.
