Ook bij het sneeuwkiten wordt steeds meer over de veiligheid nagedacht.
This video is a collaboration of snowkite contributors from all over the country. Representatives of all types of snowkiting were present at the Summit. The main frustration we face in the industry is a lack of cohesion amongst each other. An association is needed, formal structure for competitions is needed. After we brainstormed as a community we decided to employ this 1 to 6 grading concept and see if we can push it as a community as a step toward working together. In many other sports such as rock climbing, whitewater kayaking, mountaineering... the community creates a grade of difficulty so individuals can improve progressively against the scale since direct competition isn't suited. That way, becoming fluent in the use of a grading system allows you to attempt more challenges more progressively to ultimately become better. It also is a gateway for beginners since it's easy to know you should seek out class 1 conditions when you start.
