STANDING STRONG FOR 2006
Wipika, The First Kiteboarding Company, began the creation of kiteboarding as we know it today.
At the beginning of last year, Wipika learned that the holder of a patent under which Wipika manufactures its kites had commenced action against our distributor in France for infringement. Although Wipika viewed the case as unjustifiable, we did not want to have the same thing happen to our other distributors where the patent was valid. In order to protect ourselves, as well as our distributors from the harassment of a lawsuit from the patent holder, we made the difficult decision in early 2005 to go to a web-based distribution system in countires where legal action could arise until the lawsuit was resolved. This was not an easy decision, knowing that this action would upset our own business, distributors, retailers & even customers, but it was the only option available.
Due to the latest developments in this situation Wipika is pleased to announce that we can now distribute our products without any issues. This means the latest Wipika products will now be available from quality independent retailers with advice & aftercare on a local level whilst keeping the amazing retail prices we have via our web store.
Looking to the future, Wipika will be building further on its excellent heritage in the market. Innovation of premium products with technical simplicity & rider usability not just marketing hype will continue to be at the heart of the Wipika brand and ensure we continue to stand strong in the market place.
In recent years the core crew of Wipika has not changed; so we have knowledge & experience together with a passion & drive to ensure the R&D progress firmly continues & this can be seen in the awesome 2006 product range which will be in shops shortly.

haha gelukkig is de rest van de markt wel veranderd en vernieuwd. die kites van een paar jaar terug zijn toch minder als de kites van dit jaar whaahahahahaah

in andere landen hebben ze wel verkoop via dealers, maar in nederland niet.
denk niet dat verkoop via het net beter is als via dealernetwerk

blijkbaar waren ze bang om een proces te krijgen in Nederland...
