Joshua Emanuel is een Zuid-Afrika local, uit Durban, en een van de wildcard winnaars van dit jaar.
Durban local, Joshua Emanuel has grown up close to the beach and has spent more than his fair share of time in the sea, learning how to read and understand it.
At the tender age of 10 he borrowed a friend’s kite, got a quick handle on the basics and was hooked from that point. In 2005 he tried out his very first downwind ride, from Durban to Umhlanga Rocks.
Kitesurfing has been a huge part of Josh’s life, getting him fit and keeping him healthy. His passion and determination is evident in the number of hours he spends practising, and improving his skillset. Josh has given back to the sport by pursuing his instructor’s qualification, so that he can spread his knowledge and love for the sport.
