Kiteboarders from around the world are converging on Corpus Christi, Texas over Memorial Day weekend to take part in the 2006 Nissan Velocity Games. From May 25-28, regional and international riders will compete in the BoarderX, Kite Loop and Best Trick competitions, battling it out for $15,000 in prize money. Combined with the windsurfing and skateboarding events, it’s a party on and off the water as thousands of spectators and competitors come together to celebrate one of the biggest action sports events of the year. check out velocitygames.us for more info and updates.

Event Site: The Kiteboarding event will take place at McGee Beach, at Shoreline and Park Ave, near the Memorial Coliseum and just South of Corpus Christi Marina.

5p - 6p Best Trick/Expression Session/FreerideNote: If the maximum of 32 men and 32 women has not been fully met we will use this day as a heat placement qualifier for the Boarder X. In the event that there is no wind on the following days, these results will stand. If the Max of 32 has been met the first 28 riders will be accepted and there will be qualifying heats to determine the last four seats available.
