Monday, 04 September 2006 Coming to Canada I knew this event was going to be a crucial one. After a bad result in Germany I was keen to get back up on top and finish with a good result.
I arrived on the day of registrations and around midday we headed down to the beach to check out the event site, it was the same place as last year with a similar set up, and the forecast was looking good. On the other side of the event site there was a lagoon and the wind was just enough for a 12m, I headed over there with a couple of other riders and had a good session to warm up before the event. On the first day of the competition the wind was blowing, it was good for a 12m the whole day and I felt comfortable in the steady side-shore conditions. The day started by coming up against Damian Leroy a friend from the US who had been absent from the tour all year, it was cool to see him again and was fun to compete with him. I started the heat with some nice powered moves and about midway through went for a front mobe-blind, it was super powered and fast but I just missed the landing, Damian was going for some cool moves but kept missing the landings. Toward the end I got a few more tricks that pushed me through to the next round. |

jaja, hij heeft het er maar zwaar mee tegen de nederlanders,
maar bewijst toch wel iedere keer dat hij de beste is... 
volgend jaar nog meer tegenstand van Ruben, Kevin, Youri & Randy...
haha hij wordt helemaal gek dan volgens mij!
Lex, die zou 4 keer harder moeten trainen dan bovenvernoemde boys,
want die jongons gaan ook niet een jaartje stilzitten, die zijn niet makkelijk in te halen.
Zelfde geld voor Bas, en wie weet welke nieuwkomers komend jaar nog een shot gaan wagen..
(met respect bedoel ik het hoor, lex en bas beulen doodziek namelijk..)
-DAVE- had een 5 sterren sessie in Wijk aan Zee met maar liefst 16 - 23 knots op zijn SlingShot Fuel (2006)
Zijn zo veel goede gasten die een keertje de pkra meevaren maar zo ver komen als ruben, kevin en youri moet je toch wel wat meer kunnen denk.
