Verslag van het (open) EK Snowkite in Italie:
European champions 2017 in snowkiting crowned at Lake Resia.
Three days of Int. Snowkite Open are now coming to an end. Although the conditions were not optimal, the participants and spectators got exciting races and a spectacular show of the freestylers.
All three disciplines could be carried out. On Friday, Felix Kersten (GER) secured the European Championship title in Long Distance Racing ahead of Michael Kasper (SUI) and Markus Pompl (GER). On snowboard, Jonas Lengwiler (SUI) won ahead of Reinhold Gehrer (AUT) and Aldo Storelli (ITA).
On Saturday the discipline Freestyle Snowboard took place. Heinar Brandstötter (AUT) won ahead of Andrea Amann (SUI) and local Fabian Oberhofer (ITA). In the women's category did Jana Schrader (GER) win ahead of Aina Reynolen (NOR) and Inga Mohr (GER).
The Discipline Race was held on Saturday and Sunday with six races on Saturday and two on Sunday. Florian Gruber (GER) won on the skies ahead of Felix Kersten (GER) and Kari Eisenhut (SUI). Jonas Lengwiler (SUI) was able to win again in the category snowboard and won ahead of Reinhold Gehrer (AUT) and Davide Bizotto (ITA).
In the women´s category, Silvia Semprini (ITA) won on snowboard, followed by Judith Müller (GER) and Inga Mohr (GER). Nadine Stippler (GER) was able to beat Taschina Baum (GER) and Sandra Corso (ITA).
So much for the Int. Snowkite Open 2017. We are looking forward to next year's 10th anniversary!
