7/11/2006 :: Su becomes Bream Bay Sportsperson of the year 2006 >> New Zealand
Su k has been in the news a lot recently….and here she is once again with incredible news from New Zealand. Huge congratulations to Su for being voted her regions sports person of the year. What an achievement and great for our sport Read on for Su K's report>> "What a week - I heard about the award evening on Wednesday when the organisers (Ruakaka Recreation Centre) approached me and asked if I would attend the dinner. I had no problem with that as I felt this would be a good place to showcase kite sports. When they arrived back to me with the dinner tickets and my name as a nominee for the Sportsperson of the Year I was very surprised to say the least. The Bream Bay region has sports from the traditional Rugby, Hockey, Tennis, Netball, Squash, Athletics and Cycling to the other popular sports of Surf Lifesaving, Equestrian and Fishing and the uncommon Spearfishing, Multisport and even Snowboarding and Ski-ing (the closest snow is 8 hours away). Having a kiter nominated is a real boost for the sport into the mainstream! On Friday night we attended the dinner and awards ceremony with some very young and talented sports people being nominated in various divisions. The Awards evening worked it's way to the highlight of the night the Bream Bay Sportsperson of the Year Award and the biggest trophy of the evening. Even bigger than the trophy was my surprise when my name was called as the Bream Bay Sportsperson of the year for 2006! Having no speach planned I could only speak from the heart and thank the local comunity for embracing this fabulous sport! Happy Kiting Su K" See Su´s vid from NZ here |

3/11/2006 :: New addition to the Team >> LEX DEKKER >> YOUNG BLOOD
The latest welcome addition to our Kitesurf team is the “firing on all cylinders†Lex Dekker.
Lex was recommend to us by Fabian, from Roha Surfing to Raymond from VliegerOp. Lex is a super cool young man with a great attitude and boy does he love to kite. Lex is currently sponsored by Brunotti and Mystic so keep checking back for more news on Lex, his energy is infectious. Read on for his report from the latest event he attended the “WaveRiderz just last weekend where he took 4th “Had a top day, really strong wind, huge airtime with the 9, seriously you don’t wanna know Once again I’ve fallen in love with the Instinct, unhooked you go so damn freakin’ high and nevertheless you still keep in super control for making passes even in those strong wind conditions! I had a couple of top days, party each evening and a lot of fun around the competition I got so many good and positive reviews on the kite, bro!! gained a lot of publicity. When we arrived we went out directly for a quick session. Everyone took their 13 or 14, while I was pimping, be fully powered up with the Instinct 11. It seems everything is possible, enormous speed, freestyle, airtime and waveriding, this kite seems to do it all! Talked with some other riders who are really interested in the Instinct. Will be good to have some other good riders on the Instinct, as I know for sure the rest will follow The Wave riderz was tha shit!! plenty of Jägermeister and wind, so they took some nice pictures! we had 2 days with a lot of wind, about 6/7 bft, so i took my 9 for the hangtime contest, and I really flew!! I flew up to the finals and became 4th, but I was so in heaven with the kites bro, my biggest airs were between 15 and 25 meters, UNHOOKED! haha:) I did a huge handle pass and landed it, and my kungfus were tha shit.. so it was cool:)†See what we mean, even his writing style is Kungfuuuuy Welcome to the Team Lex |

2/11/2006 :: Bullet Speed Flying
The latest prototypes of the Bullet are being tested now on the glacier in Austria, where the Ozone Team is performing the final trimming on all sizes. So far the weather has been excellent, far better than we could have hoped for during the end of October! It’s great to be on snow this early and we’re looking forward to a winter of Speed Flying in the Alps.
We are testing all sizes of the Bullet now - 100, 122, and 144. We also have a new prototype harness that we are working on with help from Pierre Bouilloux of SupAir, which we are very happy with. More info on that will be posted soon. That’s all for now, check back often for more news and photos! speed flying video Cheers from all the Team |

idd de toekomst, ze maken nu bows zonder de nadelen van een bow, das tog top, zorgt er naar mijn mening voor dat mensen stukken veiliger het water op gaan
