The 3rd annual Sodwana Bay KiteSurfing Festival took place from 23 November 2006 to 26 November 2006 with a NE wind on Friday, which allowed them to complete the heats and get competition results and a strong SE on Saturday, which allowed the kiters to do a fun downwind to 9-mile. It was great seeing the stoked look on the kiters faces when they came in to shore.
The event drew 43 entrants, (37 male & 6 female) with a surprising number of new faces.
The event organisers would like to say a huge thank you to all the sponsors, the entrants and the spectators that supported the event this year; it goes without saying that without this show of support the event would not be a success.
It was great seeing the ladies division growing again in numbers this year, with ladies traveling from Cape Town to join in the event. Thank you.
