Un nouveau méchanisme de contrôle d'aile de kitesurf a été testé avec succès
On the 30th of May, a new type of remote control for surfkites was tested. The control mechanism can be seen in the picture. It changes the location of the attachment of the line on the kite, effectively changing the angle of attach of the wingtip, just like the kite is normally controlled by the bar. In the movie, a minute of controlled flight is shown. The small tails are temporarily added to the kite to reduce an instability caused by the excessive weight of the control mechanism (2 times 1.5 kg). In the next design, they will no longer be required. Despite of the increased weight of the kite, it is still able to make a side-start and recover from sideways motion.
