Hi there!

I'm planning a kite trip to Netherlands in July (or August). Based on Windguru'S statistics, Vlieland looks like a good place to kite at. But I don't really trust windguru and would rather ask the local kiters about the local conditions.

So, could you please let me know if it worth to drive two days to Vlieland for wind in July?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Better and more wind days then the rest of the Netherlands (except maybe Zeeland) but there are also weeks without wind. Keep in mind there is no kiting allowed on the Waddenzee, just the North Sea. Terschelling and Ameland also have Waddenzee spots.

I would go to Terschelling, more wind options, more things to do, not as remote. Probably about the same amount of wind.

i'd go to texel, as you can reach it by car and farry, vlieland is a no-car island..

on texel there are spots for every wind angle, as a plus, with no wind there is more to do.
