Ik was even rond aan het zweven op het wereldwijde web en kwam wel een grappige kite company tegen :) Ze doen alles maar dan ook echt alles in het roze :) vandaar de super orginele naam pink kites.
Best lache dacht ik zo :) check it out..

The idea behind PINK Kites was hatched at a coffeeshop in Soho London. Two wind starved founders of the sport (ie those people who know what the old 2 line kites are!) discussed the possibility of creating a kite company with a difference. They decided they wanted to bring a kite to the market that was easier to fly in all conditions for all levels of riders. Thankfully they stumbled upon a man who could assist: The founder of kitesurfing himself, Bruno Legaignoux.
On a remote beach in the Dominican Republic, Bruno began testing the new designs - the Ultra Flat Kite Design as it is now termed. The Ultra Flat Kite Design provide far more control and boost than kites have traditionally allowed. The wind range of the ultra flat pink kites is also quite amazing - ranging from 10 knots upwards. PINK kites are incredibly responsive: they have a very fast turning speed. So there is no longer any need to have a quiver of 5 kites for different wind and sea conditions. All that is needed is a PINK kite.

My turn:

These kites look under-developed and assembled with very little consideration to the science involved in kiting. Why put so much protection around the inflation points? This will only add weight and drag to the overall design.

The concept of ultra-flat kites has limitless depower but this has been shown to be useless in the face of gusty wind inverting the canopy as well as having the added work-load of re-trimming the kite while riding, this needs to be done way too much when your concentration needs to be focused more on your surroundings and other water users.

The union strut is almost bordering on a lie, the union end does not make a smooth connection to the LE and is tapering in as if it has been pinched, this is all before the kite is under load! This actually increases the chances of the strut tearing from the LE if placed under sideways load. A poor design or poor constrution? I suspect both.

The zipper used to access the bladders has been placed on the narrow end of the strut??? Why in the hell would you want to load the trailing edge??? What were they thinking?? I know exactly what they were thinking, "let's use a zipper because it costs less than doing R&D to arrive at a better concusion..."

My over-all impression of this kite is...a cheap imatation. Obviously this company has one thing in mind, "let's get in on this boom-sport of kiting, make a cheap, bad designed kite available to the masses...make a fortune!"

Worse still, they call that thing a beginners kite, this borders on criminal!

p.s. - Coffee shop in Soho???? You pick the worst part of London to conceptualise a kite and wonder why that thing is the best you could come up with???

This is not an attack on the people selling the kites here, but really, don't hide behind your pride, this is a shit product. ....and it's plain pink for fuck sakes.
