Tjeeeezis, is er dan geen enkele competitie met genoeg wind ?:X
The last round of the Kiteboard Pro World Tour 2002 starts quietly in Rio de Janeiro for the Compactor Kitesurf Pro World Cup 2002. All riders turned up yesterday and celebrated their arrival in Brazil with a few Caipirinha on the beach. The best kitesurfers in the world are ready to start the competition and to make the show in Barra Da Tijuca. Mark Shinn is rather relaxed and confident ; whatever happens he is already crowned. Charles Deleau is fighting for the second position. Julien Sudrat, 2001 KPWT World Champion, will give his outmost to be on the podium. 13 women made the journey to Rio de Janeiro and will fight for the podium of the Compactor Kitesurf Pro World Cup. For the first time of the year, the women’s field is rather cosmopolitan (Brazil, USA, France, Norway, Israël, Spain, Belgium). Girls are ready for the show … The wind is too light to launch any heat. The weather forecast announces good conditions from Thursday onwards. Let’s keep fingers cross ! Until then the KPWT caravan is enjoying Rio and the unique brazilian atmosphere.
