The Winter Tour is for another, even better, season again this year. On the agenda, no less than four rounds, 2 in France and 1 each in Switzerland and Norway !!!
Corona Kite Winter Tour 02-03
For the last four years, Semnoz Kitesurfing, based in the Alps near Annecy, France, has organised and promoted the Winter Tour. So what is the Winter Tour exactly ? It’s a series of kiteski and kitesnow contests that are used to determine the French national champions…
But for the last three years the contests have been open to other nationality riders and now they’ve started going out looking for them !!!
The Winter Tour now brings together at least 10 nationalities, reflecting a cultural mix based firmly on the notion and spirit of respect.
Some of the best kitesnow riders have been following the tour since very early : Romain Fabretti, Guillaume Chastagnol, Laurent Bour, Pascal and Cedric Joubert, Jean Boulanger (all France), Fabio Ingrosso (CH), Goody Gaudard (CH), Matt Taggart (UK)…
The Winter Tour is without question THE big kite snow show, an event where the show counts at least as much as the competition result. The competitors are judged on their style in various categories :
Jumps and figures
Tricks and Manoeuvres
Overall Style
