Thank you for your interest in ECLIPSE KITES. Eclipse kiteboarding was built from the ground up, with one goal: â€œFocus on the ridersâ€ we build our company and kites on this simple yet profound statement.
Every member of our company is an active kiteboarder, we practice what we preach. If one of our prototypes didnâ€™t work for us we know it wonâ€™t work for you, so it was back to the drawing board until we made something perfect. As a professional and well know rider world wide, Dimitri knows that his Name is on the line with these new kites, this is why we are determined to make the highest performing quality product on the market. As a new company we had the unique advantage of seeing the direction the industry was heading and took our time to improve our designs to the point they dominate. We literally tested every kite we could get our hands on. We looked for performance and features we liked and also what the average rider wanted to help us design our kites better, simpler and smarter. After a lengthy R&D process spread over 3 continents we were able to create the Chameleon, Thruster and Nano.
Our kites are the result of endless workdays, extensive testing, hours of phone calls, endless e-mails and extensive planning. We didnâ€™t leave anything up to chance. We took our time to be sure that we would be able to offer the highest quality equipment available with amazing performance and value oriented pricing. At Eclipse we believe that the customers drive our company and that is why we came up with 3 amazing kites that are sure to satisfy every riderâ€™s need. When we sat down to design a SLE kite we knew that it had to be different. Dimitri wanted a kite that would provide safety, control and ease of use; however, it was a requirement that this kite have enough airtime for Dimitri to pull off his legendary 40â€™ board off with style. We also wanted a kite that a beginner could feel comfortable with. This presented a design challenge, which resulted in our unique â€œSwitchâ€ system.

We named this kite the Chameleon because just like the tropical lizard the chameleon can adapt to its environment simple by moving one of the knots on the switch system bridle. With the switch system the Chameleon can become an all out freestyle kite, a wave kite, or a novice kite in seconds.
We eliminated everything we hated about bows; kept all the features we loved and mixed in a hint of C kite to provide a familiar feel. Heavy bar pressure, inverting, and week freestyle is a thing of the past. With the Chameleon you will always know were the kite is. The chameleon has unbelievable range, safety and performance and is truly a kite that will put a smile on your face.

Bar System
We believe that simplicity and function are foremost in bar design. With this in mind we created the EZ- Lock bar system. We wanted a bar that would work with every kite we manufacture that would provide a similar feel no mater what kite you decide to use.
The EZ Lock bar features a unique proprietary clam cleat power lock system. We work exclusively with Clam Cleat to create the most simplistic, safe and functional stopper system. Once you get use to it you will love the system. Very easy to use and very practical.

Build Quality
We needed a kite that would hold up to the demands of a Pro rider but also to the abuse of a new rider. NANO â€œSurf, Snow, Travelâ€
The NANO is a new kite concept designed exclusively for the needs of a wave rider, snow kiter, and world traveler. With the switch system. The Nano can be used as a beginner kite helping the rider develop from the early stages quickly to busting out new moves.
The NANO is designed to feel at home with a surfboard, fast enough to let you hit the lip with confidence yet controllable enough to cruise around without focusing on the kite.
The NANO is designed to use its small size, fast movement and lightweight to its advantage. The NANOs small size and increased foil area helps this kite create a low range we used to dream about. The 6m NANO will have you planning with a surfboard in 15knots!!

Nano Build Quality
All ECLIPSE kites have to pass our extensive Hurricane Test. We take out kites out in the most insane conditions in Hawaii, Hatteras, and Eastern LI. Then we purposely dump them into the most terrifying wave we can find; we then release the kite into the carnage of whitewater. When we recover the kite it has to have NO major damage - only then does our kite receive the honor of our Hurricane Tuff Rating.
The Nano survived not one, not two but TEN 15 foot waves - when we found the kite on the beach over 45 minutes later it had no damage, only one of the bridles where the attachment points are was broken, maybe that was pure luck. We fixed it and we re-launched and went right out to grab another set.
