Locatie/Spot
The Kite Spot Silvaplana is one of the unique kite spots in the World. You
can reach Silvaplana via Innsbruck (Austria), Zurich (Switzerland) or Milan
(Italy) within 2 hours of driving. The Corvatsch glacier will be always a
good place to visit permanent ice and snow even in the summer
There is no sandy beach, but from the launch/land side there is a big area
of grass the whole way down the lake (600m) and again 500m up on the other side where you normally arrive, if your kite drops and you are not able to relaunch again. So it's safe. There is one official entry but you can get in everywhere if you manage 30 cm of stones which are around at waterside. On the weekends it's normally a little bit crowded to get in. Sometimes youhave to wait one minute before launching you kite. Upward from the official kite launching zone there is no way to start your kite. Stefan`s SwissKitesurf at the Sportzentrum Mulets has all facilities you can imagine(www.kitesailing.ch) and a camping site is just away.

Was leuk event en de singles waren echt top!
De 2de avond was er een epic crazy party helaas zonder veel riders, maar Emiel en ik hebben ons weer goed gedragen 👍
Emiel was wel bijna vermoord 🤡
Bram en Emiel hebben blijkbaar hardcore groupies die hun vanuit italie overal heen volgen, maar denk dat dit wel de laatste keer geweest is, want na die party denk ik niet dat ze ons nog super leuk vinden 🤡

Nice single elimination!
After a meeting with Wurz in Caldaro, we kept on goin north, on the way to Switzerland. Temperature was going down, and prices were definitely getting higher!
Silvaplana is a pretty cool lake, at 1800m from the sea, and surrounded by 3300m mountains. The water was still pretty cold..but luckily shoes were not needed!
We got some wind the first day straight away, so we started with the singles. The wind was good for 14m at the beginning, then picked up to 11m weather for the finals.
I had a few good heats against Van Esh, Tack and in the final agaist Mario Rodwald! He crashed a few times, and I had a pretty nice heat, so ended up 1st in the singles!
Then the wind was gone..forever. Only one race was completed yesterday. So me and Bruno are 1st for mens!
We drove down to Milan yesterday night, cause I'm flying to Morocco for the next Pkra, and Dave back home to HK.

helaas waaide het in de begin van de singles echt voor geen meter.
Was helemaal top! Wat betreft de spot echt een aanrader om een keer te kiten als je in de buurt bent, zo mooi!
