An ultralight Pocket Rocket for low-wind downwinding PARAWING | DOWNWIND | ADVANCED The Pocket Rocket V2 Ultra-X is a weight-optimised version of Ozone's Pocket Rocket V2 parawing, aimed at experienced riders and light-wind enthusiasts who are comfortable packing and redeploying a canopy on the water. Compared with the standard V2 it is roughly 17% lighter and packs about 20% smaller, using a 10D single ripstop canopy and ribs with cut-outs placed according to load. Sizes run from 3m to 6.5m, and the two largest sizes get extra cells for more lift and glide. All that weight saving pays off when the breeze is soft. The wing keeps flying in very light air, hangs overhead during downwind transitions and floats through turns so the lines stay tensioned. Depower and drift remain easy to control. It is flown from a 35cm monobloc carbon bar, and the colour-coded, coated bridle helps keep everything tangle-free when you deploy it again.
