The market for mutant boards is still very uncertain and we prefer at this stage to continue with development of our twin tip range rather than commit ourselves to what is still very much a niche market.
Mutants being mainly for riders who’ve already got one board and are looking for a lighter wind option, the twin tip formula is still the most significant. Considering the costs of taking a prototype to manufacture, we feel it is better to concentrate our efforts on the Airflow range…â€.

That’s the news from Bic that means the mutant board they were due to bring out, the Airlight, has in fact disappeared from view…
Presented at the Paris Boat Show late last year, the board will not now in fact see the light of day. :(
