I’m so happy to be at home, I finally arrived to Tarifa!
It’s been the longest trip ever, 24 hours of flight from Melbourne to London; then the flight to Malaga was delayed 4 hours due to bad weather in Heathrow, it was all snowed. I though I was gonna spend Christmas there!
After the last competition of the year, on the Gold Coast, Australia, I went to Port Campbell, Victoria, to do an event with Red Bull, which was to kiteboard in one of the world’s natural wonders, the 12 apostles.
It was amazing to ride there. The wind was pretty weak, especially down at the cliff. It was super hard to get out. But we found a small sandy beach to enter. I had to be driven by a Jet Ski. There was a 3 meters shorebreak, insane!
When I was there, in the middle of nowhere, I felt so small surrounded by these huge rocks, kiting under the 30 meters cliff. The swell and the current were very strong. At the beginning, I felt pretty uncomfortable. But then I was more confident and I started to enjoy it.
It has been amazing to ride surrounded by the apostles. The best moment was when I crossed between to of them. I was very nervous in the first moment, I thought, if I crash my kite here in the middle, I’d be in danger. But when I got it, I couldn’t believe it! It was a moment of a lot of adrenaline.
Soon we’ll have the video. For the moment I leave some photos of the event and of my stay in Melbourne. Hope you like it!
